Sidai (pronounced SEE-DEYE) means "beautiful" in Maa, the language of the Maasai people — and it's the perfect word for what these pieces are. Founded by Eszter Rabin and Rebecca Olivia Moore in Arusha, Tanzania, Sidai Designs collaborates with over 120 Maasai women beaders to create high-end, design-led jewelry that bridges ancestral craft and contemporary aesthetics. Using glass beads, 14K gold-filled beads, leather, and semi-precious stones including tanzanite, malachite, and sapphire, Sidai's artisans produce pieces rooted in ceremony, history, and meaning — from beaded cuffs that trace a young man's journey from boyhood to warriorhood, to necklaces that echo the golden rays of an African sunset. Because every piece is made by a different pair of hands, no two are ever exactly the same.
