The Julieta is part of ISHI's signature collection — a handmade brooch rooted in the wabi-sabi philosophy that honors beauty found in imperfection. A shield-shaped piece of certified by-product leather is embroidered entirely by hand with naturally dyed silk ribbon, soft mauve silk yarns, and rows of seed beads in gold and silver, with a line of semi-precious stones along the upper edge. From the base hangs a luminous baroque freshwater pearl — generous, irregular, and wholly natural. Made in collaboration with indigenous artisan communities in Mexico using fair trade practices and sustainable materials, the Julieta is ethical, handmade jewelry at its most considered — a piece made to be worn and kept for a lifetime.
